We talked about where our food comes from, food miles, farming standards etc and looked at some resources from the 'Red Tractor' website.  We then went to Waitrose armed with pictures of fruit and vegetables to find and a list from the website of foods to look for with the red tractor symbol. 

When we got home the children put their findings into picture charts/pie charts. 
We were surprised that so much of our food comes from Spain and also how few foods actually had the Red Tractor standard.  Very enlightening.
